The Granary at Highfields Manor & Spa is an ideal self-catering base for families, groups or friends or those looking for a hen or stag party venue. The Granary has been finished to an extremely high standard and you will find everything that you would require to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The property is set in 13.5 acres of grounds and has a beautiful terrace area so that you can sit outside and enjoy the views.
It’s not a typical holiday property as you can also take advantage of the indoor heated pool and games room where you can play pool and many other games. So if the weather is bad, it really won’t matter! There is also The Spa that you can enjoy and treat yourself to a range of treatments and therapies to rejuvenate yourself.

Apart from that, the owners also offer a wide variety of additional services, from yoga/pilates classes, gourmet dinners, champagne afternoon tea, and cupcake workshops to name a few! Perfect if you are looking for a special venue for a celebration.

The location of The Granary is excellent as it is in the heart of Charnwood Forest , on the borders of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The university town of Loughborough is only ten minutes away and worth a visit as you will find many shops, restaurants and cafes there.

Nottingham and Leicester are both only 16 miles away should you wish some bright lights!

Any golfers will be happy to base themselves at The Granary as the famous Belfry Golf Course is only 25 miles away. Those interested in history might like to take the chance to visit Lady Jane Grey’s house which is close by. Equally the ruins at Bradgate Park are worth a visit – you can even have a guided walk through the surrounding area. Really there is so much to do both at The Granary and the surrounding area that you may find one week is just not enough!

Accommodation

The Granary has been refurbished to a high standard , yet retaining many of its original features. This contemporary barn conversion boasts a home cinema with surround sound mixed in with the 300 year old oak beams and trusses! There is a 30 sq metre designed for living space. Whatever the weather, enjoy an ambience usually only to be found on a warm, exotic beach!
There is a large dining kitchen which is beautifully finished and equipped with high quality Miele appliance. There are 2 combi ovens, an induction hob, zip tap and a separate fridge and freezer. The owners have thought of everything from a dishwasher, washing machine to a coffee machine and wine cooler and ice maker!
From the large kitchen, there is an imposing staircase that leads to 2 first floor bedrooms (one of which has a further bedroom off) and the minstrel’s gallery with the home cinema so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. The upstairs bedrooms consist of one king size bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with roll top bath. The other bedroom is a double with an ensuite shower and his and hers washbasins. This leads to a further double ‘loft’ bedroom. The remaining double bedrooms are all located on the ground floor, one of which has an ensuite shower room. The other two bedrooms, share a large bathroom with his and her sinks and shower. The flexibility of the accommodation is ideal.
Guests at The Granary have access to the indoor pool and spa with Jacuzzi and the Games room so you don’t need to move if you don’t want to!

What's included

Electricity and heating are included in the price. Bed linen and hand towels are provided. Changeover days are Friday and Sunday. Arrival is after 4pm and departure is before 10am.

The rooms can accommodate 14 guests in 7 bedrooms, plus 7 guests on futons, sited where guests prefer.

Directions

From North, M1. Exit M1 junction 24. Take A6 signposted Loughborough. 3 miles after Kegworth (beware speed cameras both ends of Kegworth) turn right at lights onto B5324 signposted to Belton, Long Whatton and Ashby. After 2.5 miles Highfields Manor is on the right, after Highfields Farm, just before the left turn for Shepshed. Large red brick house in fields, black gates, horses in front fields. If you go into Belton village, you've gone too far.

From South, M1. Exit M1 junction 23. Take A512 signposted Shepshed and Ashby. Turn right at the first traffic lights, into Shepshed. Go straight over the mini island. Bear left at the mini island by the Texaco garage. In the centre of Shepshed go straight over the mini roundabout. Continue round sharp right bend by school. Turn left at the mini island at the end of the road. Go straight over the crossroad at the top of the hill, out into the countryside. Continue to the end of the road. Turn right at the end. Our drive is the first entrance on the left. Large red brick house in fields, black gates, horses in front fields.

From South, M42. Exit M42/A42 at junction with A512 Loughborough. Take A512 Loughborough.Take first main turn on left - B5324 to Belton, Long Whatton, Worthington. Continue approx 5 miles. Go through Belton village. Go past Highfields House on your left. Our drive is first on left after right turn to Shepshed (do not take Shepshed turn). Large red brick house in fields, black gates, horses in front fields.

(Beware - Satellite Navigation takes you down the road from Highfields Manor).
