What's included in Jonty's cottage holiday rentals?
Home from home All the beds are made up ready for you, towels and shower mats are also provided. Two tea towels and a set of oven gloves/oven cloth will be in the kitchen along with a starter pack that includes: washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll, basic cleaning products, a bin bag in each bin and a few dishwasher tabs. This is just to 'start you off'; you will need to buy your own once these have run out.

Up to two dogs are welcome but please do not leave them alone or let them onto furniture or in bedrooms.

Newly refurbished by a leading interior designer, Jonty's Cottage blends a traditional c1840 stone and slate Lake District cottage, with sumptuous contemporary modern style. Jonty's Cottage occupies the ground floor of an old Saw Mill, a spacious old stone building of immense character.

This modern 2 bedroom apartment will provide superb comfortable accommodation for your stay.

From the doorstep, you can hill walk, rock climb or scramble in the Great Langdales or just stroll down to the local village Inn. Located in the heart of the Lake District, Elterwater is a very convenient starting point for any excursion in the English Lakes. Whether walking, cycling or driving, you can explore the stunning landscapes of the Lake District National Park with ease.
Ambleside is less than 10 minutes by car and has good range of local amenities including cafes, restaurants, pubs and outdoor gear shops.

You can visit Dove Cottage, home of the poet Wordsworth, in Grasmere or the Beatrix Potter Museum at Windermere. You can also explore the Cumbrian towns of Windermere, Hawkeshead, Grasmere, Keswick and Glenridding.

Accommodation

Jonty's Cottage has a sumptuous lounge with a wood burning fire. You’ll find the lounge well-equipped with a flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD/Blue Ray player, an Ipod/iphone speaker system, free broadband WIFI, guide books and OS maps of the Lake District. There is also dining room area with a table and four chairs. The room has wonderful panoramic views of Loughrigg Fell and the Lake District hills from the window.

There is a fully newly appointed kitchen including dishwasher and washer dryer. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you may need to dine in, including oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, pans, utensils, crockery, glasses and cutlery for 4 people.

There are two opulent bedrooms with one double room and one twin room. Both bedrooms have ample storage and hangers and include hairdryer, mirrors and an MP3 charger alarm clock. There is also a modern bathroom and walk in shower.

The apartment benefits from a mountain bike and boot store for your outdoor gear. You’ll also find logs for the wood burning stove.

What's included

Bedding and towels provided for you. Heating, electricity and an initial supply logs for the burner are also included in the price. There is ample off-road parking outside the door in designated private parking space. There is also 2 mountain bikes which you can use free of charge.

Jonty’s cottage is located in the small, picturesque village of Elterwater in heart of the English Lake District.

Elterwater Village is situated between Great Langdale and Little Langdale, just 5 miles North West of the popular Lake District town of Ambleside, so if you want a Langdale Holiday Cottage, Jonty’s is a perfect choice. Elterwater is also only 3 miles by road from the popular village of Grasmere and 7 miles from Hawkeshead.

As Elterwater is so small, you won’t get lost and Jonty’s is easy to find – if in doubt ask any local who will point you in the right direction.
