Accommodation:
Rooky's Nook offers luxury holiday accommodation for two in a beautiful former blacksmith's barn. Tucked down a quiet country lane in the heart of Trewalder, a small rural hamlet near the magnificent North Cornwall coastline, no expense has been spared to create a home-from-home luxury hideaway for discerning couples (non-smokers only).
The cosy sitting-dining room with open fire offers an ideal place to relax and unwind. The cottage has been sympathetically refurbished with rough cast walls, slate floors and a huge inglenook fireplace providing the perfect romantic retreat whilst on holiday in Cornwall. It is centrally heated throughout, making it snug in the cooler months.
In the kitchen, lime-washed oak units make cooking a pleasure - the large fridge-freezer gives you the option of minimising your shopping trips, while the dishwasher takes away the strain of washing-up!
From the kitchen, a stable door leads to the private sunny patio and garden, the perfect place to chill out with a drink! Garden furniture and a barbeque are provided for dining alfresco.
A small utility room with washing machine and tumble drier also has an additional WC for your convenience.
The galleried spacious double bedroom with its large five-foot double bed is the ideal place to snuggle up. Feeling really lazy? - you also have the option to watch (Freeview) TV in bed! Even though banisters run down one side of the room by the open-plan stairs, you still have all the privacy you need in your own little Cornish holiday cottage hideaway. There is also an exceptionally large en-suite bathroom which has a bath with power shower, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
And - new for 2009 - Wireless Broadband has been installed, so you can lose yourself in idyllic Cornwall without losing touch!
Directions:
Follow the A30 towards Launceston. After by-passing Launceston, at Kennards House, take the A395 signed for North Cornwall and Camelford. Follow this road approximately 15 miles until reaching a T-junction with the A39. Turn left onto the A39 towards Camelford and Wadebridge and continue a short distance until seeing the exit for the B3314 to Delabole and Port Isaac. Turn right onto the B3314.
At this staggered crossroads continue straight over, and pass through Delabole. Turn left onto the B3267 signed for St Teath. Take the next left, a short distance down the lane, marked by a wooden bench on the corner. Carry on, passing under a railway bridge, until reaching Newhall Green. Go through the village and you will see another sign for Trewalder.
