Woodpeckers is located in ancient oak woodland, overlooking 35 acres of landscaped lakes, gardens and woodland of Woody Park. You can explore Woody Park on foot or by rowing boat. During your stay, you enjoy many pastimes such as painting, photography, birdwatching, fishing and walking. Catering exclusively for couples, Woodpeckers is your perfect romantic hideaway. A wonderful secluded cabin where you can retreat from everyday life, and simply relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

During your stay at Woody Park, you can explore South Dorset, North Devon, the Dartmoor National Park and the Exmoor National Park. Woody Park is within one hour’s drive of the charming towns Barnstaple and Ilfracombe and the North Devon Coast.

The historic seaside resort of Lyme Regis and Weymouth in Dorset is a similar distance to the south.

Woodpeckers is close to the historic city of Exeter. One of the old cities in England, Exeter is full of character and ancient history. The city has a bustling centre with great shopping and other amenities. You can also visit the Norman Cathedral Church of St Peter, Exeter Quay and Powderham Castle.

Accommodation

Located on a private island, Woodpeckers is only accessible by a footbridge, with lake views from every window. Luxuriously furnished, the large lounge and dining area has reclining chairs, a wood burner, HD Sky TV/DVD and surround sound system. To the front and rear of the cabin, there are large covered verandas with garden furniture. There is also a large hot tub.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The bedroom includes a luxurious superking half-tester bed. The bathroom includes a double whirlpool bath and steam shower.

What's included

Bedding and towels provided for you. Heating, electricity and logs for the burner are also included in the price. Check-in any time after 3pm (if later than 6pm please let the owners know). Check out by 10am. Minimum stay of 3 nights. Couples only.

Directions

Woody Park is 0.5 mile East of Willand.

From M5 Junction 27 heading South - take 1st left at roundabout, then right at next roundabout signposted Willand and Cullompton. After 2 miles on entering Willand, go straight across the roundabout and continue for 0.5 mile. Turn left signed Post Office. Take second left to Bradfield and Kentisbeare. After 0.5 mile go over the hump back bridge and immediately
turn left into Woody Park. Press the button to the right of the gates to open.

From M5 Junction 28 heading North 0 turn right at the roundabout at the top of the slip-road and go over motorway. Take 1st left signposted Bradfield and Croyle. After for 1.5 miles, take left turn to Willand and Tiverton. After half a mile, immediately before the hump back bridge,Woody Park gates will be in front of you. There is a button to the right of the gates to open.
