Danny Cottage is situated in the beautiful downland Cuckmere Valley in the Sussex Downs Area of Natural Beauty. It is only three miles from the sea and the famous Seven Sisters cliffs. Alfriston is a charming village dating back to the 14th century but with a variety of quality shops and restaurants. This is an idyllic thatched English country cottage.

There is great walking country between Brighton and Eastbourne with many enchanting pubs serving local food and drink.

From Danny Cottage it is possible to take a gentle stroll to any of a dozen or so local pubs. For more serious hikers there is the 90 mile Southdowns Way which is a footpath from Eastbourne's Beachy Head to Petersfield in neighbouring Hampshire. Other favourite local walks are in Friston Forest and the adjoining 70 acres which make up the Seven Sisters Country Park.

There are a great many activities available in the area including cycle hire, boating, fishing, golf, tennis and riding. Also a wide range of places to visit such as Battle Abbey, Firle Place, Lewes, Castle, Michelham Priory, Drusillas Park (an extremely popular family attraction), Royal Pavilion, Charleston Farm House (home of the Boomsbury movement), and many other varied attractions
