Tucked away in this beautiful corner of North Yorkshire, with the owners’ living on-site, just a few miles from the historic town of Richmond, Low Pasture Cottage has style and a real wow-factor. Set within a rural smallholding, be charmed by the wildlife passing by your window, with ducks and geese being frequent visitors and alpacas and horses in the field nearby. The main living area enjoys views out to the front with a beautiful cottage garden, complete with a pond, wildflowers and a seating area to sit and take in the countryside views on a warm summer night.
If you’ve come for relaxation, as a special treat, to the rear of this semi-detached cottage the triple patio doors open out from the living area onto an intimate patio with comfortable furniture, mood lighting and your own sauna and hot tub. A perfect place for you and your loved one to slip into your fluffy robes, sit back and relax, and even open a bottle of fizz and toast the day.
The large kitchen area is a great social space with smart units painted in stylish Farrow and Ball colours, chunky oak worktops and a fabulous island to sit around, well-stocked with all the utensils and equipment you’ll need to rustle up a romantic meal or brunch.
Romantics will love the spacious master bedroom with a super kingsize, antique style brass bed dressed in crisp white linen sheets and with stylish shabby chic style furniture. Getting out and about, there’s an abundance of things to do. Being on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, surrounded by stunning countryside and picture-postcard villages, Low Pasture Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. A haven for walkers and cyclists, yet minutes away from the ancient town of Richmond which stands to the north of the River Swale.
With its famous castle dominating the skyline, cobbled streets, narrow alleys and eclectic array of shops, galleries, tea rooms and architecture, there is plenty to see and do. The town grew up around its castle, and today there are wonderful walks to be enjoyed by the castle or along the River Swale to Easby Abbey, not forgetting the Wainwright Coast to Coast walk and the National Cycling Route.
Just a short drive from Hudswell takes you into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Head up towards Reeth and across into Hawes in Wensleydale for a true taste of this magnificent countryside. Hudswell itself is a small village sitting on top of the valley above the River Swale, located just a short 2-mile stroll from its historic neighbouring market town of Richmond. Set in delightful rolling countryside, the village boasts a mixture of lovely old houses and a pub renowned for its excellent local ales and traditional food. Shop and pub 500 yards, restaurant 2 miles.
