The New Homestead stands in one of the loveliest locations in Norfolk, with the River Wensum winding through, surrounding a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Here you are tucked away in a peaceful environment, so peace and quiet is assured, although you can expect some inquisitive visitors in the form of the wild bird life that is abundant and occupies the surrounding countryside. This wonderful abode boasts a spacious and luxurious open plan accommodation with a chef’s kitchen and bi-fold doors leading to the terrace, complete with a bubbling hot tub.
If you can tear yourself away from your romantic base you will find yourself within walking distance of two village pubs, a post office/shop and tearoom.
This is a perfect location to explore the North Norfolk coast, the Broads and the Wensum Valley Trail. A great location for artists and railway enthusiasts; the County School Station and Orchard, showcases displays and has its very own tearoom (seasonal opening). The area has many paths for walkers and routes for cyclists nearby, and there are numerous places of interest for bird watchers and nature lovers in the area too, including Hoe Common and the Rough, an area of SSSI. Locally is the Mid Norfolk Railway headquarters, East Dereham,and Gressenhall museum Farm and Workhouse.
Medieval Norwich, 28 miles, and the old Hanseatic Quarter of King’s Lynn, 26 miles. The north Norfolk coast is 35 minutes away, traditional seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer. Beautiful beaches surround the coastline, RSPB bird and nature reserves at Stiffkey for salt marsh, and Titchwell and Cley. The Norfolk Broads are 30 minutes away; explore the miles of waterways by boat hire and daily river trips.
