Just 100 yards from a sandy beach and close to the Millennium Sensory Gardens, this extremely spacious, very carefully furnished and equipped family house enjoys sea views and its own secure garden, as well as a garden room equipped for dining (Apr-Oct). Within walking distance is the centre of Hunstanton, a charming Victorian seaside town with plentiful shops, inns and restaurants. It is famous for its miles of beautiful beach and majestic red and white cliffs, providing wonderful walking for all seasons, and many low-tide rock pools.
The sporting facilities are excellent and cater for young and old alike, including tennis courts, croquet lawns, bowling greens and an 18-hole golf course. Within 500 yards is a Sea Life Centre and The Oasis Sports Centre, which offers both indoor and outdoor swimming-pools, two squash courts and Winter indoor bowling. Brancaster, 8 miles, is a pretty coastal village with superb sailing, and the staithe from which visitors may take boats to the Nature Reserve on Scolt Head Island.
Close by are Holkham, with the splendid Palladian Holkham Hall housing a fine collection of art and furniture, and Wells-next-the-Sea, an amiable fishing village with quayside stalls selling freshly caught produce. A short drive away is Sandringham House, magnificent holiday home of the Royal Family since 1861; further inland, within an hour’s drive, are the Broads and the historic city of Norwich. Shops 250 yards.
Finding it hand to choose - barn conversion or cottage near the sea? East of England has many outdoor activities to offer. Families will find last minute dog friendly short breaks in Ipswich, Suffolk coast or Ely - some have disabled acccess.
