The kitchen features a glazed orangery-design roof and the American fridge/freezer has an ice and cold water dispenser. If you are looking to explore the area, you will find that you can travel in almost every direction and find something to see and do. Wildlife and beach lovers alike will find a coastline littered with various coastal habitats, including wide sand and shingle beaches, nature reserves, salt marshes and quays.
History buffs will be delighted to find themselves just 20 minutes from the Sandringham Estate, Peckover House and the Hanseatic Quarter of Old King’s Lynn. You are also within easy reach of the Holkham Estate, Ely with its magnificent cathedral, and the medieval city of Norwich with its Norman castle and numerous museums.
Norfolk is home to many great places to eat as well, and is enjoying a burgeoning foodie scene. You will find some great places to try out, including some options within walking distance. After a great day out and about it will be a pleasure to return to lovely May Cottage for a good night’s sleep, and maybe a glass of wine in the courtyard garden or perhaps by the wood burner.
