Sympathetically converted to a very good standard, situated in the grounds of the owner’s 16th-century thatched farmhouse, these character cottages are well equipped, comfortable and cosy; perfect for a romantic break at any time of year. Located in a tranquil setting with views over adjoining paddocks, gardens and open countryside, guests can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday in this get away from it all location. Al fresco dining is available in the picnic area or enjoy a coffee and a quiet read in the renovated ’cigar shack’, whilst for the more active there is a covered games area with pool table, table tennis and darts.

Ideally situated in the rural heart of Suffolk to discover the many and varied local attractions. The Roman road leads east to the Heritage Coast, with the Blyth and Alde Estuaries, and the charming resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh. To the west lies Bury St Edmunds, with its cathedral, abbey gardens and lively market. Further west is racing at Newmarket and Cambridge. Wander south and enjoy the picturesque ’Wool Towns’, Lavenham, Constable Country, the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, Colchester’s award winning zoo, boating at Thorpeness and the Saxon village at West Stow.

Good cycling and walking. Food lovers will enjoy a visit to nearby Alder Carr Farm or the Chilli Farm.
