Wroxham itself has daily boat hire and river trips to enjoy the expanse of waterways. Wroxham also has a train station, visiting the coastal resort of Cromer and Norwich city. A model village and Wroxham Barns craft centre are located on the edge of the village.
For a car-free holiday, Wroxham has regular train and bus services.
The city of Norwich with its cathedral, museums, theatre, cafés and shops, is just 12 miles away. BeWILDerwood, in Horning, offers an outdoor treehouse adventure with zip wires, jungle bridges and marsh walks. The area is criss-crossed with numerous footpaths and cycling trails. For keen walkers, there is the 61-mile Weavers’ Way, a long distance footpath, that winds through the best parts of the Broads, from Cromer to Great Yarmouth. Golf is available at Sprowston Hall, 5 miles away. Beach 10½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile
