Lesbury is an attractive village located only a mile inland from the picture perfect coastal village of Alnmouth, and less than 4 miles from the historic market town of Alnwick. There is a prestigious golf course at Foxton close by, and the golden stretch of sandy beach at Alnmouth is absolutely stunning. Further up the coastline is Craster, Embleton and Low Newton, all quaint villages to explore.

The town centre of Alnwick, with its cobbled streets, offers many amenities, including restaurants and independent shops.

Alnwick Castle and Gardens are also well worth a visit. There is a train station only 400 yards from The Coppice, making a trip to Newcastle to the south or Berwick and Edinburgh in the north, an easy route to explore further afield. The Coppice is an excellent choice for those seeking a stylish base from which to explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage Coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to the east, and the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west.
