Lavender Cottage is set within a cluster of stone cottages at Crawley Dene, built in 2020, in the picturesque village of Powburn. This end-terraced cottage is set over two levels, it has been beautifully furnished throughout, with downstairs offering a spacious living area, a well-equipped kitchen/dining room with mood lighting, and fantastic sun room at the back - the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! Upstairs are two good-sized bedrooms, a family bathroom and study room. Outside is an enclosed garden set with rattan table and chairs, and is the perfect sun trap.
Out and about, Powburn makes a fantastic base to explore this beautiful part of north Northumberland.
Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the nearby Ingram Valley. Wooler is a welcoming market town nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The small, picturesque town of Rothbury sits at the foot of the Simonside Hills where the River Coquet runs through. The historic market town of Alnwick, with its stunning castle, cobbled streets and array of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, offers a wide range of amenities and makes a great day out. Visit the fabulous Barter Books set in the old station, one of the largest second-hand book shops within the UK, with its roaring fires and gorgeous coffee shop.
Alnwick Gardens have a stunning display and cascading waterfall and a quirky tree house with coffee shop and restaurant. The Northumberland Heritage Coastline, recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is only a short drive east making Lavender Cottage an excellent base from which to discover not only the beautiful countryside, but is within easy reach of wide stretches of golden sandy beaches too.
