A Victorian house ideal for couples or a family wanting a getaway that is close to the Northumberland Heritage Coast.

The Anchorage is a Victorian, stone-built, mid-terraced cottage situated in a quiet lane, yet only a gentle stroll from the many facilities available within the historic town of Alnwick. This charming property has undergone a full makeover and offers welcoming accommodation in this popular market town. The living room enjoys the benefit of a wood burner which ensures a cosy welcome regardless of the season. The smart kitchen/dining room is at the rear of the property, and the master bedroom on the first floor has the added convenience of en-suite facilities.

Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s ‘Hogwarts’) is a popular visitor attraction, or visit The Alnwick Garden, a spectacular garden with fountains, waterfall, poison garden and a restaurant within one of the largest tree houses in Europe.

The Anchorage is an excellent choice for those seeking a homely base that gives easy access to explore the beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that comprises the Northumberland Heritage Coast, or head inland to the wild expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills.
