The Stables is ideal for couples or a small family, and there is a cosy wood burner for those chilly evenings. The property is conveniently set almost opposite the friendly village pub and near to the only shop and post office in the village. This end-terraced cottage is in a great location for exploring all the surrounding areas of the county. Set on the very edge of the highly acclaimed International Dark Sky Park, the Northumberland National Park is perfect for exploring and ideal for walkers, cyclists, star gazers or just those who wish to relax and unwind.
Dating back to the 1700’s, the beams are now painted white to give a more airy and light feel throughout the property. Fishing at Sweethope Loughs is popular with fly fishermen and is only a short drive away. The friendly small town of Bellingham is just 4½ miles away, with a few shops and pubs. A real bonus of staying at The Stables is the location as you are within an hour of being somewhere totally different, from Northumberland’s diverse Heritage Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the hills, there is something for everyone.
Corbridge is only 16 miles where you can stop off whilst visiting one of the Roman Forts along Hadrian’s Wall.
