Set in the heart of this charming small town in the stunning National Park, this Grade II listed cottage was built in the early 1800s. Once the watchmaker’s home with the adjoining shop, this beamed cottage has been in the family since the 1980s where it has been a cherished family home. Equipped to good standards yet retaining the quirky features one would expect in a two hundred year old cottage oozing a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere which the owners have strived to provide for guests. This pretty white cottage is in the centre of Bellingham with the few shops and pubs, cafés and takeaways only 2-minutes’ walk.

Bellingham is set in the Northumberland National Park Area of outstanding Natural Beauty and the largest dark sky park in Europe highly acclaimed and perfect for those who may wish to visit the Kielder Observatory (bookings needed), or enjoy the varied activities and water sports on offer on Kielder Water. This is a stunning area of Northumberland to stay with cycling and walking from your door or simply touring in your car whichever you prefer.

Hexham with a beautiful abbey is only 16 miles away, a larger market town with plenty of facilities. Why not take a day out and visit Alnwick Castle and gardens home to the Duke of Northumberland and only an hour’s drive through lovely scenery and perhaps onto the heritage coast to look at some castles. Whichever direction you go, whether to Hadrian’s Wall or over to the Scottish Borders there is something different to do every day for all age group
