Dolphins, seals and otters are often seen offshore and up the Tweed River. Regular dolphin trips are run around Spittal Bay and up the coast. From Spittal beach you can see down the coast to Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and the Farne Islands, all within easy reach, together with Alnwick Castle, of Harry Potter fame.
