Sedgefield dates back to the 13th century, and is believed to exist as a Roman settlement. The 2-mile heritage trail nearby provides a wealth of history.

With some good pubs and restaurants close by, the properties are in an ideal location for exploring the many visitor attractions in north Yorkshire, which is just half an hour away. Alnwick, with its famous castle used in the Harry Potter films, the Heritage Coast, peppered with castles and golden beaches, and York with its beautiful minster, can all be reached within an hour. Renowned as one of the finest historical and cultural cities in the UK, the city of Durham has a magnificent cathedral, castle and World Heritage Site, along with an array of medieval architecture, winding cobbled streets, unique shops, pubs and restaurants.
If it’s fresh country air and wonderful walks you’re looking for, Sedgefield nestles between the Yorkshire Dales, County Durham and the North York Moors, where you will find some of the most dramatic countryside, including High Force waterfall, stunning coastal walks and the Castle Eden Walkway.
