Glamping at its best in this superbly equipped and stylish pod, one of three on-site. Perfect for a couple or countryside adventure for a small family!. 3 steps to entrance.

Grounds (shared with other properties on-site). 2 small dogs welcome. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property is a security deposit of £80.

Extra Amenities

High Pastures (UK33665) is a detached single storey cottage, offering spacious accommodation for up to six people and their furry friends. It has a homely kitchen/dining room. The spacious living room leads through to the conservatory; a lovely spot to sit and look out onto the garden and beyond to the stunning countryside. There are three double bedrooms with lovely views and a family bathroom and separate wc. Outside is an enclosed front patio looking out to open countryside.

Also on site are three brand new glamping pods. Coves (UK33677), Barley (UK33667) and Maple (UK33666) sleep up to two adults and two children each. Superbly equipped and styled for a small family break. Inside the stylish open plan living area is a large L shaped sofa bed, blue tooth speaker and 40” Smart TV to ensure you are comfortable and well entertained. There is a modern fitted kitchen that leads through to the cabin style dining area. Off to bed and there are a variety of sleeping options. Ideally sleeping up to four people, there is a galleried sleeping area with double bed, accessed by open-tread stairs.

The living area sofa bed makes into a double bed and the dining area has a pull-down bed, which would accommodate two. From the living area, the huge patio doors bring the outside in and boast spectacular views over the Weardale valley. The decked area has comfortable seating and what better place to sit at the end of the day with your glass of wine?
On a summer’s night you can walk through the adjoining meadowland to the village pub, which is approximately 15 minutes away. Out and about the rolling countryside adjoining the property offers a wealth of bridleways, public footpaths and also the iconic C2C cycle route in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hamsterly Forrest, famous for its mountain biking and walks, is only 5 minutes away and in 20 minutes you can visit the Derwent Waterside Park – a great place for walking, cycling, fishing and sailing. Well situated, being just off the A68 for journeys to and from Scotland, offering a perfect base to explore North England with easy access to both coast and country.

The historic city of Durham, with its magnificent cathedral and river boat trips; the market town of Barnard Castle, with its 12th-century castle, and medieval Raby Castle are all just a short drive away. The open air Kynren Medieval spectacle takes place just 6 miles away and is hugely popular with visitors to the area. The award-winning Beamish Open-Air Museum is just 30 minutes away and is well worth a visit. Newcastle and Gateshead offer an array of museums and art galleries, along with excellent shopping and are only 27 miles away. Visit the pretty Dales villages of Wolsingham, Frosterley and Stanhope, with charming independent shops, tea rooms and riverside walks. A little further afield are the Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall, the historic town of Hexham and Corbridge.
