This delightful, detached stone cottage with outbuildings has been renovated to a high standard whilst retaining its character and charm. Measling Cottage is spacious and the ideal place for a family. The living room has a beautiful exposed stone wall and the wood burner is particularly welcoming after a day out perhaps walking Hadrian’s Wall. A particular feature of the dining room is the large inglenook fireplace with another wood burner creating the perfect atmosphere for a cosy family meal in.
The conservatory is off the dining room and overlooks the spacious garden and is a real sun trap. Also on the ground floor is a well equipped kitchen and family bathroom whilst upstairs the master bedroom with double and single bed has an en-suite shower room. There are two further bedrooms on the first floor, a double and a twin. The bedrooms have lovely views over the fells, where you will often get glimpses of birds of prey, foxes and deer.
This cottage also boasts a beautiful enclosed garden which surrounds three sides of the property, so there is ample outdoor space for children to play or for the adults to relax on the picnic benches with a drink or two.
There is a pond with security fencing and the owners have ducks which they allow children to feed. This charming property remains private and hidden by the trees that line the bottom of the garden, but is close to the local amenities in Greenhead and Halthwhistle.
