Bedroom 1: With double bed and wood burner.

Nestling in countryside, this spacious end of terrace cottage has two cosy wood burners to keep you lovely and warm in the cooler weather. Both set in inglenook fireplaces, the one in the bedroom is a real novelty, perfect for a romantic off peak getaway on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. There is a phone in the property that can be used for emergency and incoming calls. The small market town of Rothbury is 6 miles away with plenty of pubs, cafés and riverside walks, popular with cyclists and walkers, whilst Thropton, 4 miles, has two lovely pubs serving great Sunday lunches.
Ideally located for exploring with Alnwick being only 15 miles away, it is easy to drive over and look around the castle which is famous for many Harry Potter scenes. The cobbled streets are quaint and you can easily while away a couple of hours.
The Scottish Border towns are within easy reach with Coldstream only 34 miles away. The historic city of Newcastle upon Tyne, also 34 miles, makes for a great day out and you can be sure of a warm Geordie welcome. Cragside House and Gardens, home of Lord Armstrong, is open to the public and steeped in history. Rothbury is known as the Capital of Coquetdale and has some lovely countryside stretching for miles.
Kielder Water can be reached from here too and also makes a fantastic day for those who love the outdoors. No trip to Northumberland is complete without a trip to the beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Heritage Coast. This charming holiday cottage is ideally located allowing you easy access to all directions of the county, which was voted ’The Best County to Holiday’ by the Visit Britain Tourism Award in 2018. Beach 19 miles. Shop 6½ miles, pub and restaurant 4¼ miles.
