Giles Place is a real gem of a cottage situated just a couple of minutes away from Hexham Abbey, the market place and the old gaol. Traditional and cosy, yet modern and fresh, Giles Place boasts an open plan living, dining and kitchen area on the ground floor which is very well presented throughout. On the first floor guests will find a double bedroom to the front of the property with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom to the rear of the cottage has a double bed and there is also a small family bathroom nestled away on the first floor too making this a great spot for two couples wanting to share a holiday. There is one parking spot to the rear and plenty of car parks and on street parking within a 300 yard radius.
There are plenty of historic attractions to visit and a variety of popular places to eat, drink and enjoy within the town. Hexham is a great location for couples, families and friends to enjoy a holiday together, and there are plenty of leisure activities to entertain an active family. Giles Place is the perfect spot at any time of year. It is only a short drive away from Hexham Racecourse and Golf Club and there are plenty of opportunities for fishing.
Walkers and cyclists will find themselves just a short drive away from the established public footpaths, walking routes and cycle paths along Hadrian’s Wall as well as just a few miles away from the splendour of the Northumberland National Park and Kielder which have been designated as an official Dark Sky Parks.
Many of the traditional Northumbrian villages can be reached within an easy drive and these include Corbridge with its beautiful river walks and boutique shops, Haydon Bridge, Bardon Mill, Bellingham and Haltwhistle. A little further afield but still within a 30-minute drive, guests will be able to visit the bustling city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead for the Metrocentre or the Angel of the North statue. The city of Durham is only a 45-minute drive away as are many beautiful beaches of the north east including Tynemouth and Whitley Bay.
