The Eastfield Retreat is within an hour’s drive of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its castles, historic sites and stunning beaches.

Extra Amenities

The Eastfield Retreat has some facilities to aid the less mobile visitor if needed but remains unobtrusive offering a modern comfortable holiday home over two floors with a lovely courtyard garden through the large bi-folding doors to the rear. The owners live on-site should you need any advice on choosing days out around this friendly county.
Nearby Whitley Bay and Tynemouth have lovely promenades and beaches and Whitley Bay has the regenerated Spanish City housing a champagne bar and restaurant for that special evening out.

Why not hire a little beach hut on Blyth beach only 6 miles away where a fabulous fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour await. This historic market town of Morpeth is only 4 miles away with an abundance of shops, eateries and pubs. Bedlington is only a couple of miles away with shops and takeaways. Head over to the beautiful and unspoilt Northumberland Heritage Coast with miles of unspoilt beaches and historic castles and friendly villages selling fresh seafood.

Located only a few miles from the A1 travelling is easy from here with Alnwick Castle only 26 miles, Newcastle 15 miles and Corbridge 25 miles. The Metro Centre, one of the largest shopping malls in Europe, is only 13½ miles. Beach 6 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.
