Ideally located in the bustling market town of Morpeth with easy access to Hadrian’s Wall, the Farne Islands and beautiful sandy beaches.

Stone Cottage is a two storey town house situated in the heart of the market town on Morpeth, Northumberland, originally built in the 1800s, it has had many uses over the years but it is now a fully renovated family home. The property provides open plan, self catered living accommodation with both a modern and traditional feel, using some original charming aspects like exposed beams, whilst incorporating good fixtures and fittings. There is also a good-sized roof terrace to the rear which is a lovely spot to relax. The property is centrally located and within walking distance to all local amenities. Morpeth is a pretty, historic small market town with a great selection of cafés, restaurants and pubs on your doorstep.

Ideal to have an evening out, visit some of the bespoke shops or meander along the pretty riverside. It is a lively town with some excellent eateries, bespoke shops and a weekly market held in the market square. Boats can be hired to row along the pretty river which runs through the town or take a gentle river walk.
It is only a short drive to the Heritage Coast where miles of golden beaches and friendly villages appeal to all ages. Stop off at Craster for famous kippers, drop into Bamburgh Castle and carry on a little further to Holy Island.

The nearby train station is perfect to take you to Newcastle, Durham, Edinburgh or York should you wish to explore further, all of these fantastic cities are worth a visit whilst staying in Northumberland. This is a fantastic central location to explore the many delights of what is reputedly the friendliest county in England. There is easy road access for visiting Hadrian’s Wall, at Vindolanda 37 miles, the Heritage Coast, and the National Park. Alnwick Castle 20 miles, Kielder Water 45 miles and Newcastle 15 miles.
