Extra Amenities

Sunshine Cottage is within walking distance of Creswell beach and a short drive to Druridge Bay, with miles of unspoilt golden beaches. It has a lovely sunny conservatory for relaxing after a day exploring the many visitor attractions throughout this friendly county. Furnished to very good standard, this bungalow has good sized rooms and is set on a small cul-de-sac just outside Creswell village. This village has a 15th century Pele Tower, built as a defence against the border, reputedly haunted by The White Lady who died of a broken heart after her prince was ambushed and killed by her family.


The coastline is dotted with lovely little villages, where friendly locals love to stop for a chat, nearby Newbiggin-by-the-Sea has a lovely promenade, whilst Amble has a popular sunday morning market, shopping pods and some lovely fish restaurants and cafés.
Sunshine Cottage is a great place to come back to, located with easy access to roads for travel in all directions.

Trips inland are easily accessible should you wish to travel over to Hadrians Wall country or over to the National Park, the county is diverse with rugged moorland and breathtaking hills. Voted the best place to holiday in the 2018 British Tourism Awards, it truly does offer something different for all age groups. Beach 1 mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile
