Orchard Cottage is a wonderful retreat for a much deserved short break or your annual holiday. With large rooms and airy high beamed ceilings the cottage is a perfect place to stay, with wooden floors and a contemporary fresh design throughout. Surrounded by beautiful countryside the views from your sitting out areas are beautiful, at the top of the garden is a small orchard with an additional picnic table. Footpaths from the door lead to spectacular countryside. Set within the Northumberland National Park the cottage is on the edge of farmland just on the outskirts of Elsdon Village which has a village pub and tea room.
Nearby Otterburn has two famous wedding venues and Orchard Cottage would be a lovely place to say if you were a guest. The area itself is perfect for star gazing and is a pretty drive over to Kielder Forest which houses the observatory (bookings needed).

The Scottish Borders are in driving distance if you want to take in some of Scotland. A day spent over on the stunning Northumberland Heritage Coast AONB is a must whilst staying here with miles of golden sands and unspoilt beaches, historic castles and friendly villages. Explore some of the Roman Forts over at Hadrian’s Wall also within easy distance and can be seen stretching for miles. The vibrant and historic city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne is only 30 miles away, perfect for theatres, shopping, culture and music.
