Ascot Lodge has a raised deck, the ideal place for watching the world go by, and a lovely hot tub to the side bubbling and ready for your arrival. This detached lodge is a fabulous place to stay as a couple, with friends or for a small family. Well placed on the smaller country park of Bockenfield, a perfect base for that much deserved short break or your annual holiday. This peaceful park with woodland walks is ideal to escape from stresses of daily living. An on-site tavern, and a shop for essentials, is a lovely space to meet new friends. If you bring children there is a playpark to keep them entertained on-site.

Ascot Lodge is located with easy access to the A1 so exploring all over this friendly county is simple and easy. Travel in all directions and explore the many visitor attractions Northumberland has to offer. Nearby Alnwick is home to the famous castle featured in the films ’Braveheart’ and ’Harry Potter’, and the Duchess Gardens are well worth a visit. The historic town of Morpeth is a few miles away with some lovely restaurants bars and shops a popular place with locals in the area. The stunning Northumberland heritage coast has golden sandy beaches stretching for miles, all the way up to Berwick-on-Tweed where you can spend a day close to the Scottish Borders.

All the top attractions are nearby with a beautiful golf course at Burgham Park only a couple of miles away, and the Northumberland Country Zoo is only 5 minutes’ drive away. Head off to Hadrian’s Wall for the day, stop at a Roman Fort, or go to the National Dark Sky Park and visit Kielder Water for a different day out. Newcastle’s vibrant city life can be easily reached from the A1 where you can discover the heritage of the Geordie’s where a warm welcome always await
