Extra Amenities

With a wonderful hot tub to the rear, this welcoming lodge offers total privacy and is set on the edge of the Northumbrian Lodge Park at Felmoor. Well-presented and very homely, the lodge has a fantastic wood burner and a large 55” Sky TV. The two bedrooms are of a good size and have plenty of storage. The lodge is set on a 40-acre site surrounded by woodland with lovely walks around the lake. The on-site café, restaurant and bar is ideal if you want to leave the car and stroll along for some friendly chatter and great food. With open woodland to the side, wildlife can often be spotted including some red squirrels. This dog friendly lodge is perfect to get away for a long weekend retreat, or even for a week or two.

With the A1 nearby, exploring couldn’t be easier. The Northumberland small zoo at Eshott is close by and lovely for children or even adults who are young at heart. Felton village is just a few miles away and has an award-winning tea room and superb village pub. Burgham Golf Club is practically opposite so ideal for golfing enthusiasts. The very pretty small market town of Morpeth, known as the gateway to Northumbria, has a pretty riverside with rowing boats, plenty of shops, cafes and bars, and easy to take a taxi if you want to leave your car behind. Head north to Alnwick where you may like to see Alnwick Castle, most famed now for the scenes in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

Head on over to the Northumberland Coast, 5 miles, and stop off at Amble’s fantastic Sunday market. Other places include Warkworth, with the castle sat at the top of the village, Craster famed for the kippers, Seahouses with boat trips and a real seaside feel, and Bamburgh with its castle. Northumberland was voted the best place to holiday in the 2018 British Tourism Awards, and it’s clear to see why. There are more castles here than any other county in England and the people are voted the friendliest too. You are sure of a real Geordie welcome when out and about discovering all there is to see in this lovely county. Cafe/restaurant on-site. Beach 9½ miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1 mil
