BLEA TARN Cottage
2 bedrooms, sleeps 2

This property is ideal for exploring the surrounding woodland and countryside of the South Lakes, located between Ambleside and Coniston.

This spacious detached pine holiday lodge is set on a large plot on a private estate at the head of the Langdale Valley. Sitting amongst peaceful woodland between Ambleside and Coniston, the triple aspect windows allow you to enjoy the setting and all the wildlife which frequents the back garden including badgers, red squirrels and deer. This really is a wildlife lover’s haven, with sole use of a sitting-out area with furniture and a hammock, as well as dedicated use of the unspoilt woodland grounds. Only 50 yards away, there is shared use of a heated indoor plunge pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and table tennis available (all year except 16th Nov-5th Jan). Amongst the numerous walks direct from your door are England’s highest tarn, Jake’s Rake Ridge and Scafell Pike. Nearby, Ambleside has historic sites such as the roman fort, and Lake Windermere, where you can enjoy a lake cruise, visit the Lake District Visitor Centre or explore the Beatrix Potter Exhibition at Bowness. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
