A pleasant stroll down the River Rothay and past the famous Bridge House leads you into Ambleside where you will find a whole host of quality independent shops, galleries, good pubs serving award-winning local ales, restaurants and cafés to suit all tastes.

When you want a bit of relaxation time, Willow Retreat is a cosy, quiet and comfortable base. Finished to a very good standard, the ground floor apartment has open plan living with a cosy sitting area, dining area and well-equipped kitchen so you can chat through your plans for your holiday while one of you cooks and the other sets up the night’s DVD watching.
