Located in Hadrian’s Wall country, The Penthouse is ideal for exploring the area. For the more energetic, why not walk to the 12th century Lanercost Priory where you can wander around the priory, see parts of Hadrian’s Wall then enjoy a well earned afternoon tea in the tea rooms. Talkin Tarn Country Park, 2 miles from Brampton, with its 65-acre lake set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland is another lovely day out. The Tarn is an ideal place for recreation or a quiet stroll through the mature woodlands. A mere 20-minute drive away and you can be in the beautiful border city of Carlisle with its array of high street shopping, and within 30 minutes you could be over the border into Scotland or in the Lake District National Park. With so many things to do the only hard decision for you is what you will do first. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
