Extra Amenities

Situated in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bel Royal is a delightful semi-detached holiday home, ideal for enjoying time with your loved ones. The kitchen boasts some of the best views in the house stretching out uninterrupted over fields and across the Ribble Valley – vistas so good that you’ll never want to finish the washing up! Enjoy soaking up the sun in the back garden after a busy day exploring before heading out for some homecooked grub at one of the various local pubs and restaurants, many of which can be reached on foot.

The cottage is just minutes from the picturesque village of Waddington, with its stream trickling through the centre and three excellent pubs, there is no wonder this is a hub for both the locals and visitors passing through. Head up over Waddington fell where walks stretch out over the open moors with views over the surrounding villages and towards the Trough of Bowland. Try Tolkien’s Trail, starting in nearby Hurst Green, where you can wander in the footsteps of the Lord of The Rings author before finishing up for a delicious pub lunch to satisfy you.

You can also head to the market town of Clitheroe with its boutique shops, cafés, bars and restaurants dotted down bustling streets, which are overlooked by the Norman fort standing proudly in the centre. Cyclists will love the winding country lanes snaking through the valley, over the fells and alongside rivers taking you through some of the most scenic countryside in the UK
