Situated in the heart of Lancashire’s beautiful Ribble Valley, the village, which was built on the site of a Roman fort, has a couple of good pubs, as well as an art gallery and museum. This superb detached home has generous living accommodation, including two lounges, separate dining room and a well-equipped kitchen and utility. The garden, with it sheltered patio area and barbecue area is perfect for alfresco dining.

This property is ideal for those who love the outdoors, as there are lots of pleasant walks and cycle routes from the doorstep. The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is on the doorstep, is particularly great for mountain biking. Other activities available locally include fishing, golf and horse riding. The market town of Clitheroe, which is regarded as the capital of the Ribble Valley and has its own castle, is just 9 miles away. Here guests will find a good selection of shops, supermarkets, bars, cafés and restaurants. The town of Longridge, 4 miles away, also has a good selection of amenities. Apart from its stunning scenery and pretty villages, this part of Lancashire is also well regarded for its great food and drink and there is an abundance of good country pubs and restaurants within easy driving distance, including several award-winning establishments.

The city of Preston is 12 miles away and Lancaster is within a 40-minute drive. Should you wish to venture slightly further afield, the Bronte Country, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District can all be reached in an hour by car.
