Situated on the outskirts of Great Harwood and enjoying an elevated position overlooking the surrounding Lancashire countryside, Stone Edge offers spacious and comfortable accommodation ideal for couples, families or groups of friends looking to explore all that the beautiful North West has to offer. Well proportioned both inside and out and with private parking, this substantial, semi-detached stone built house has been tastefully decorated and thoughtfully furnished to give a real homely feel, and there are lots of personal touches that really make you feel welcome. There is a good sized and well equipped kitchen with attached conservatory/dining room that opens out onto the rear garden which has a raised decking area, perfect for al fresco dining or simply enjoying your morning coffee. From here you can access the detached sun room which provides an alternative place to sit and relax as well as housing an additional shower room and toilet.

Beyond the sun room there is another ‘secret’ garden area which has its own little wishing well.
Great Harwood is within easy reach of Whalley, 4 miles, with abbey ruins, Clitheroe with its historic castle, 7 miles, Longridge, 11 miles, Beacon Fell Country Park, 18 miles, and Ribchester, 8 miles, making it the ideal base for touring East Lancashire and beyond. Perfect for walkers and ramblers, there are lots of footpaths that go off in different directions from the house. For more serious walkers the open fells are within 15 minutes by car and Pendle Hill, (famous for its witches), is approximately 30 minutes by car.
This part of Lancashire is well known for its superb scenery, pretty villages and country pubs and restaurants.

The Ribble Valley is right on the doorstep and the Forest of Bowland which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just 20 miles away. Other places worth visiting include Haworth and Bronte Country, 26 miles, Malham, 27 miles, Grassington, 33 miles, and Ingleton, 36 miles. The city of Manchester is also within easy reach, 30 miles, while for those who prefer a coastal landscape, the Fylde Coast whose popular resorts include Blackpool and Lytham St Anne’s is just 30 miles away. Should you wish to venture further afield, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are both within an hour’s drive.
