This traditional Victorian seaside town offers plenty for you to see and do. There is an abundance of restaurants, cafés and boutique shops to explore. Take a walk down the promenade and relish in the views looking right over to Morecambe Bay. The charming village of Cartmel is only 2 miles away, famed for its horse racing weekends and its sticky toffee pudding. This stunning village is well worth a visit and offers two Michelin star restaurants and a 12th-century priory.

Newby Bridge, home to the Lakes Aquarium, Windermere Lake Cruises and the Haverthwaite steam train, is just 7 miles away. Known as the gateway to the lakes, you can easily access many popular towns around Cumbria including Ulverston, Ambleside, Coniston, Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
