This large house is right on the seafront on Walney Island. It’s peaceful, overlooks the beach, the sea and The Isle of Man. It could be a million miles from anywhere, yet right next to a large town with plenty of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

This spacious holiday home is right on the seafront with views to the beach, the sea and The Isle of Man. Discover the peace, tranquillity and wildlife of this fascinating island.

From the first floor you’ll find stunning views across the sea and of the sea front, the only thing separating you from the beach is the access road, you really can’t get much closer. Sleeping six, this property features two spacious double bedrooms, both with plenty of storage for your belongings, comfortable beds and great sea views from the Master bedroom. The bunk bedroom features full size bunk beds and again, with great views of the ocean. It also has a sun room with large patio doors opening to the front. The front lawn is big enough for a kickaround or even a game of badminton the equippment for these activities will be supplied.

This spacious link-detached holiday home is situated on Walney Island which measures 11 miles in length, and just less than 1 mile in width, and is the eighth largest island off the coast of England.

The North Walney Nature Reserve has rare plants, including the Walney Geranium, whilst the South Walney Nature Reserve has an abundance of Cumbrian wildlife. There are miles of beach for everyone to enjoy including the family pet, lots of sporting activities including kite-surfing, and along the promenade there is a public slip way for launching your own boat. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby including a community hub with café. Also worth a visit is the interesting Dock Museum with a park for the children, and a café. A longer drive up the coast will take you to Wastwater and the start of several paths up Scarfell Pike, England’s highest mountain.

Walney is a great holiday location with something for everyone, and is just across the water from the town of Barrow-in-Furness with loads of restaurants, pubs, bars, nightlife, and all the major shopping brands and supermarkets and and is also a gateway to the western fells.

There is also a riding stables just a mile from the property where you can book riding lessons, go for hacks and treks and they cater for both children and adults.
Torver is only 40 minutes away and is a great route up the famous Old Man of Coniston. Coniston Water is also accessed from here with miles of lakeshore paths and woodlands. Coniston Village just a 45-minute drive is a major centre for watersports with paddleboards and boats for hire. For family fun, try the La’al Ratty, a miniature steam railway running from Ravenglass to Dalegarth. Muncaster Castle offers daily activities including mini golf, beautiful gardens and falconry displays. You will find it is always a fun day out at South Lakes Safari Zoo or why not go swimming or to the gym at the leisure centre in Barrow-in-Furness.
