Gas central heating (underfloor in bathroom), gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.
Garden opposite the property (shared). Parking permit for 1 car. No smoking. Prospect Terrace was built in the early 1800s and is one of Kendal’s charming cottages. It is part of the historic area of Fellside and boasts amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Serpentine Woods and nature trails are just a few hundred yards from the door so you don’t have to travel far for an enjoyable day out. Alternatively, you could drive just 20 minutes to enjoy either the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
Opposite the property is a small community garden where you can sit and take in the view over the town and beyond to Kendal Castle. Please note that Prospect Terrace is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or those with limited mobility. There are 15 steps leading down to Prospect Terrace from the road where you can park.
Kendal is an increasingly popular, historic market town sitting on the banks of the River Kent and is known as the ‘Gateway to The Lakes’. The town also offers an eclectic mix of cafés and antique shops sitting alongside boutiques, traditional pubs and contemporary restaurants.
The town is steeped in history and brimming with spectacular houses, castles, museums and gardens, history lovers will be in their element and with the nationally acclaimed Brewery Arts Centre that hosts live music, theatre, film, dance and more, and is found only a 12-minute walk away, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained.
