The iconic Theatre by the Lake is only ½ mile, with award-winning arts and drama set on the beautiful banks of Derwentwater. For family fun why not try Puzzling Place, ½ mile, a mind boggling attraction based on optical illusions, or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world, ½ mile. For a really wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, 8¾ miles, or The Lakes Distillery offering daily tasting and tours, 9 miles.
