Walla Crag is a two bedroom holiday apartment located in the former Royal Oak Hotel in the centre of Keswick. Its location provides easy access to the shops and restaurants in the town and Derwentwater and the beautiful Borrowdale Valley are within walking distance. All the amenities Keswick has to offer are available on the doorstep so your car need never leave its private parking space. Walla Crag is situated on the first and second floor of the building and is fully equipped for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. It has the added benefit of a balcony with outdoor furniture, enabling you to relax with a drink after walking on the fells.
A large selection of books, DVDs and board games are available for less sunny days. Guests at Walla Crag receive free daily access to the Keswick Leisure Pool and Fitness Centre (5 minutes away) for up to four guests plus discounts on mountain bike hire and climbing activities.
The property is gas centrally heated throughout. Access to the apartment is through a communal entrance, with stairs and a lift to the first floor and stairs only to the second floor. Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake are a 10 minute stroll through the beautifully manicured Hope Park Memorial Gardens, with mini glof, crazy golf and putting.
Regular launch trips around the lake are available each day, with numerous drop off points should you wish to continue on foot. Keswick is renowned for its spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains, a vast array of outdoor activity shops and a great selection of pubs and restaurants.
