This wonderful cottage has everything a family needs in which to enjoy a holiday in the South Lakes, with Ulverston, Windermere and Newby Bridge all nearby.

Living area: With multi-fuel burner, 32" Freeview TV and patio doors leading to garden.
Kitchen area: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Sitting room: With multi-fuel burner and double sofa bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Separate toilet. . First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.
LPG central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate.
Enclosed garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the garden.
Woodland Cottage boasts a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area with patio doors opening up to the back garden. Imagine sitting in front of the multi-fuel burner whilst the food is cooking and the children are playing in the garden - picture perfect. There is a second living room at the front of the property with another multi-fuel burner and children’s games, and a downstairs toilet. On the first floor are two spacious bedrooms and a contemporary family bathroom.
Backbarrow is set in the South Lakes peninsula, a perfect base to visit many popular attractions in the Lake District.
Less than a mile down the road is the Haverthwaite steam railway, hop aboard and enjoy the stunning landscape as you head into Bowness-on-Windermere. A short drive away is Newby Bridge, this popular area is home to the Lakes Aquarium and Windermere Lake Cruises.
Fifteen minutes down the road is the traditional village of Cartmel, famous for its horse racing weekends and also for its sticky toffee pudding; this quirky village is definitely worth a visit.

Backbarrow is the perfect place as a gateway into the lakes, so whether you are planning to enjoy walking a few of the 214 Wainwrights fells, cycle the fantastic roads around here or drive over to many other popular towns around Cumbria (including Ulverston, Ambleside, Coniston, Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere), then you are spoilt for choice! Beach 9 miles. Shop 2¼ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
