The town also has an indoor public swimming pool, gym, sports centre and golf course. A visit wouldn’t be complete without going to St Bees Head and the long sandy beaches.

The Lake District National Park is a 5-mile drive away, where you have an abundance of walks, cycle routes, wildlife, mountains and lakes. Ennerdale is 6 miles away and is widely regarded as one of the most unspoilt areas of the Lake District, teeming with wildlife including indigenous red squirrels, osprey and buzzards.
