Stockett’s Cottage and the adjoining Manor House dates back to 1637 with some more recent Georgian additions. This has resulted in a beautiful, elegant building with lovely quirky features such as ancient beams, Georgian fire surrounds and wooden shutters for all sash windows. It is located in the St Stephen’s area of Canterbury which has a village green feel to it, with St Stephen’s church, a small green, and children’s playground and a lovely, family friendly pub - "Ye Olde Beverlie" which is a three minute walk from the cottage and has an attractive garden.
The vibrant city centre is about a 15 minute walk, passing through the cafes and shops of the St Dunstan’s area. As well as this, Stockett’s Cottage is less than a ten minute stroll from the award winning Goods Shed Farmers Market, Restaurant and Food Hall providing entertainment for all.
For those without a car, fear not, as the cottage is located less than ten minutes from the station so you are able to travel with ease.
The cottage has an open plan living area with comfy sofas and chairs, dining table and chairs, and kitchen. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a shower room.
