Tara can sleep up to six guests, and has one twin bedroom on the ground floor, as well as an adjacent bathroom offering facilities all on the same level for less mobile guests. The large, front aspect living room has wonderful sea views to enjoy and a 49” Smart HD TV with Sky Multi-room and BT Sport, whilst the adjoining, open plan kitchen/dining room is well-equipped. On the upper level, you have a spacious, kingsize bedroom with panoramic views across the English Channel, whilst across the hall there is a further twin bedroom overlooking the rear garden. Outside, you will find a fully enclosed, split-level garden accessed via steps, with a raised patio with portable barbecue and garden furniture available. Off road parking for two cars can be found to the front of the property, and the garage can be used to store bicycles.
This detached property is situated a short distance above Steephill Cove’s beach, which lies just south west of the Victorian seaside town of Ventnor. Steephill is a traditional, unspoilt fishing cove with a beach of sand and shingle, nestled between rocky cliffs and smugglers’ coves. The bay has no road access, which makes it a unique hidden away gem. Find your way down the pathways and you can dine on the freshest crab and lobster, see what you can find hidden amongst the rock pools and watch the children playing on the beach whilst sitting back and relaxing in your deckchairs.
Ventnor is just over a mile away from Tara, here you will find a number of lovely seaside tea shops, pubs and restaurants dotted along the Esplanade, including the well-known Spyglass Inn. There are also some quirky and bespoke shops, an award winning park and a children’s paddling pool. The town, which for the most part is built on the steep hill leading to the beach retains its original seaside charm and makes a great day out for all the family.
Sea and cliff walks can be found along the coastal paths in both directions from the property, and outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages, including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay, Why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes. Whatever you decide, one things for sure, the Isle of Wight has plenty to offer. Beach 1 mile. Shop 1½ miles and restaurant 1 mile
