Wolds View Cottage is a perfect setting for birdwatching, hiking or cycling. Set in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds in the village of Rudston just 5 miles from Bridlington. From the village there are numerous walks and excellent bike rides that take you through the rolling hills of what is known as the Yorkshire Wolds, made famous by the artist David Hockney who found the inspiration for his paintings from this very area. This pretty detached cottage is tucked away in a quiet corner of the village, the discreet owner lives nearby, with some fantastic walks right from your doorstep.
The traditional seaside resort of Bridlington is just 5 miles away, still a busy working harbour, but more famous for it’s wonderful large sandy beaches.

From Bridlington you can walk along the clifftops to Sewerby and visit the stunning Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Over 300 years old this stately home is well worth a visit, perched on the clifftops with views out to sea, a perfect spot for a picnic. Sewerby Hall is not the only stately home in the area, just a short drive from the cottage you will find Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and the wonderful Castle Howard.
The cottage is perfect for those who like the great outdoors, especially bird-watching as the RSPB bird sanctuary is nearby.

Home to thousands of seabirds that perch on the cliffs but famous mainly for the puffins with their comical looks. Further north along the coast you have the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, and to the south, Hornsea and the city of culture for 2017, Hull. The city of York is less than an hour away, a medieval walled city full of street entertainers, independent shops, museums and craft shops, take the open top tourist bus or enjoy a leisurely cruise down the river. Beach 5½ miles. Shop 1 mile, restaurant 2 miles and pub 500 yards.
