Cayton Cottage is a delightful little cottage situated in the centre of the village of Cayton, just 4 miles from Scarborough and 4½ miles from Filey. This end-terrace cottage has an open plan living space, great for socialising in, with a bespoke island dining area surrounded by remote controlled mood lighting. It has its own enclosed gravelled garden area, making it perfect for children and dogs, and a new seating area has been added in 2021; there is a wonderful covered, decking area that leads out from the living room, a great place to eat meals in the sunshine. The cottage also benefits from a car parking space.
Cayton has a very strong village community and has all the amenities you could need.

There are a couple of shops, a post office and an award-winning restaurant/pub just opposite the cottage. Cayton Bay is the nearest beach just 1½ miles away and is a very popular bay with surfers, plus for those of you with dogs as it is an all year round dog-friendly beach.
The seaside resorts of Filey and Scarborough are just a 10-minute drive. Filey is a very traditional resort and has won many awards for having one of the best beaches in the UK. Stretching for over 5 miles along the coast, this wide sandy beach is nice and flat. Scarborough is the larger of the two resorts and has something for all age groups, from an open-air theatre to a waterpark with slides and wave pools.

The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short car drive, and the amazing display of migrating seabirds perched on the chalk cliffs is well worth a visit. You will see puffins, guillemots and kittiwakes, as well as the many bird watchers that travel from overseas to see this magnificent display.
