Extra Amenities

Surrounded by a wonderful garden overlooking the rolling fields with a neighbouring walking path ready to lead you out to explore. This detached cottage has a private hot tub, where you can relax amongst the bubbles taking in the scenery. Folly Cottage was named due to its whimsical garden, with dragons, fairies and other mystical stone creatures adorning the grounds. The garden has been landscaped so that there are secluded areas to discover, making this a fun and charming place to visit. The views from the garden are picturesque, with the landscape stretching out into the distance. This is a very peaceful location, where you can take each day at your own pace.

Inside, the property has been beautifully furnished with your comfort in mind and the living room comes complete with a wood burner. The large open plan kitchen with dining area is bathed in light from all the windows and overlooks the garden.

Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms, a twin with en-suite facilities, and a double, plus there’s the main bathroom. Upstairs in the eaves is a beautiful snug, with comfortable seating on the two sofa beds. The hot tub outside has its own summerhouse which can be used as a changing room and is equipped with dressing gowns. The owners have taken time to put in lots of little personal touches to enhance your stay.

There are many beautiful walking trails across the Wolds nearby, plus many attractions, ideal for a day out. You are less than 30 minutes from the beaches at Bridlington or Skipsea. Further up the coast are the dramatic cliffs and iconic lighthouse at Flamborough with the RSPB reserve of neighbouring Bempton. There is also the stately homes of Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall, Burton Constable Hall and Sledmere House just a short drive away.

The historic town of Beverley is nearby, known for its beautiful minster, as well as the Beverley racecourse where you can enjoy a flutter in the summer. For children, visit Bridlington’s Animal Park or the Candy Kkingdom, as well as a traditional day out at the seaside enjoying the funfair on the seafront, riding the land train and enjoying an ice cream on the beach.

This cottage warmly welcomes your well behaved pet. Dogs will adore the location and after a day of romping through the countryside they have the garden to explore. A beautiful cottage and a great choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway, as well as family and friends planning a trip to remember. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ mile
