It’s just a short stroll into the village of Flamborough, or just a short drive in the car to Bridlington. This lovely property is the perfect base to see the east Yorkshire coast and all it has to offer.
The chalk cliffs of the Flamborough headland are a birdwatchers paradise, as it is one of the best places in the UK to see puffins, kittiwakes, gannets and guillemots.
Flamborough Head offers fantastic walks along the rugged cliff tops, or you can have a go at sea canoeing and row into all the little coves, which is a great way to see the birds perched on the cliffs. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton is just along the cliff top and, as well as the birds, many tourists flock there every year.
The seaside town of Bridlington is close by, and is a traditional, bustling resort with donkey rides, rock pooling and a large sandy beach.
The property is situated just across the road from Danes Dyke nature reserve, where you can explore some wonderful woodland walks. Scarborough and Whitby are to the north and both are worth a visit during your stay. The village of Flamborough has everything you need with a shop, pubs, restaurant and a traditional fish and chip shop. Fishing is also available near by. Beach ¾ mile. Shop ¾ mile, pub 1 mile, restaurant 1½ miles.
