This country cottage is charming and cosy, boasting original features such as an inglenook fireplace and multi fuel burner, flagged floors, beams and window seats.
Stepping through the front door, you will find yourself in the cosy living room. The multi-fuel burner in the traditional inglenook fireplace creates a snug feeling on a cold evening. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player if you fancy a night in with a good film. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine This lovely cottage also offers plenty of storage throughout.
Upstairs is a double bedroom with oak floors and window seat, as well as a second smaller double bedroom. A stylish bathroom completes this floor.
Outside, you can escape to the peace and tranquillity of the terraced cottage garden, a perfect sun trap and a great spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Grassington is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has many things to offer. You can walk direct from the door up onto the moors, where you will be able to enjoy expansive views over Wharfedale, or for those wanting a more leisurely walk, you can saunter along the footpath that follows the River Wharfe.
A full events calendar includes a 10 day music and arts festival in June, 1940s weekend in September and the ever popular Dickensian celebration on the weekends leading up to Christmas. The village of Grassington is transported back to Dickensian times, with shopkeepers, villagers and visitors dressed in Victorian costume.
A short drive away lies the market town of Skipton, known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’ with a Norman castle at the top of the cobbled high street, lined with a wide variety of shops, pubs and eateries.
