Comfortable and thoughtfully furnished this cottage is an excellent home from which to tour or walk in the Yorkshire Dales’ stunning countryside.
This charming stone-built terraced cottage is centrally located in the old market town of Hawes, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Set close to the main street and Gayle Beck flowing yards from the front door, this is a wonderful location for guests to relax and soak up the special atmosphere that the town of Hawes has to offer. With a wide selection of traditional pubs, restaurants and individual shops together with a bustling market, Hawes has something for everyone. There are fabulous walks from the doorstep, including Hardraw Force, England’s highest unbroken waterfall, and the Pennine Way. The more energetic can face the famous Three Peaks Challenge, as it is just a short drive away, while Gayle Mill, a fully-restored 19th-century sawmill, which featured on Channel 4’s ’How Britain Worked’, is well worth a visit.
