This delightful cottage offers three holidays in one, being perfectly located to explore the Yorkshire Dales, Trough of Bowland and the Lake District National Park.
Dating back to the 1800s, this spacious terraced cottage, built for the village’s silk workers, is full of charm and character with exposed beams and stone walls. On the ground floor, there is a welcoming living room and dining area with wooden floor, a window seat, and a fireplace with a wood burner. There are comfortable leather sofas and plenty of books and games. Upstairs are two comfortable, good-sized bedrooms, one with exposed stone work, and a family bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi bath. Outside, to the rear of the property is a patio area with seating for al fresco dining. There is also a fully enclosed, pretty cottage garden accessed by four steps with a patio area and bench seat, perfect for bat watching in the evenings or enjoying the sun with a coffee first thing.
The cottage occupies a great position within the lovely village of Low Bentham, which has a 15th-century church, two great pubs with open fires, both of which serve excellent food, and a children’s play area a stone’s throw from the cottage.
A wider range of amenities can be found in the market town of High Bentham just 1 mile away, including a post office, shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants.
Low Bentham is just 5 miles from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, less than half an hour to the Lake District National Park and minutes from the Trough of Bowland. On the doorstep are beautiful riverside walks, where a mile’s meandering will bring you to Bentham in time to buy freshly-baked croissants from the bakery. Silk Cottage is idyllic for those who want to enjoy the great outdoors, offering easy reach to Yorkshire’s Three Peaks, as well as a multitude of walks to suit every ability. It is also perfect cycling country, and the cottage has a bike store for anybody wishing to bring their bikes along for the break. You can certainly get your adrenaline fix in the local area. Climbing is one of the the most popular pastimes in the Yorkshire Dales, attracting passionate climbers from across the UK.

The popular village of Ingleton, which is just 4 miles away, is well known for its caves and waterfalls, climbing wall and open-air swimming pool.
